Terms and Conditions

These terms apply only to orders placed directly with Music Word Media Group: Bookazine’s discount schedule, payment terms, and returns policies  are different. We ship FOB Hudson NY and charge actual shipping, except for independent bookstore accounts where freight is free. The following volume discounts apply on net 30-day terms:

  • 1 book = 15%
  • 2-4 books = 33%
  • 5-10 books = 47%
  • 11 or more books = 50%
  • Standing Orders (prepaid) = 15%

Add 4% to these discounts for nonreturnable orders and 2% for prepayment by credit card.

For returnable orders, you may request permission to return books still in salable condition within 60 days, for credit against further purchases made within the next 90 days. Return requests must include the original invoice number and date. Shipping charges are not refundable and returns must be authorized, prepaid, and undamaged (missing shrinkwrap is OK) to qualify for credit.

Adjustments for short shipments or otherwise unsatisfactory merchandise must be requested within 15 days. We reserve the right to examine any items claimed as defective, and to inspect merchandise and shipping records in shortage claims.

We charge a $35.00 fee for any returned check. Any other bank charges accrue to your account unless other arrangements have been confirmed in advance.

Accounts past due incur interest at 1.5% per month (18% per annum). Accounts more than 120 days in arrears may be referred for collection.

Libraries

We do not place a moratorium on electronic book sales to libraries and are happy for our publications to be used in this way at any time.  You are free to buy our e-books to lend to your patrons without restriction.

Standing Orders

New titles published in print editions are automatically shipped upon publication until we receive written notification of order cancellation. Standing orders may be increased or decreased at any time. To receive the discount for prepaid Standing Orders please include a credit card number, expiration date, and CVC code on your Purchase Order.
